SEVEN EMPTY TOILET PAPER TUBE HACKS

Toilet Paper, or to us, tissue paper or simply "tisyu"... do you know that the carton at the center can have many uses? Check out these seven "buena mano" lifehacks using the tisyu tubes or cardboard rolls:

1. As holder for rolls of wrappers and papers. Keep those pesky wrapping paper rolls from unwinding by slitting a toilet paper roll and sliding it over the wrapping paper roll. You may prefer not even slitting the tube. Just roll up the wrapper, paper or poster really tight and insert in the cardboard roll.

2. As a filler in vases. Sometimes we miscalculate on the amount of fancy fillers we buy for our decorative vases. Well, the tissue roll comes handy, as in this photo below of a half filled jar of Christmas balls

3. As crease-stopper for wire hangers. Take an empty cardboard paper towel roll and cut through it lengthwise. Slip it over a wire hanger to prevent a crease from forming in the garment to be hung on the hanger.

4. As seed starter pots. Recycle your toilet rolls by filling with potting mix to raise seeds. Keep well watered until ready to transplant. Bury the whole 'pot' and the cardboard will decompose with no damage to fragile roots, even adding carbon to your soil! You could even cut them down smaller into 1/2 or 1/3 pieces. Open up the bottom when you transplant and you don't even have to disturb the roots. The cardboard will degrade in the soil.

5. As a stamp toy for toddlers. The noises it will make when stamped will be sheer enjoyment for little kids. They will surely love the use of this "new tool" keeping them busy and quiet.

.6. As a temporary "instant" smartphone speaker. Believe or not, the sound comes off louder and crisper with this little add-on gadget. :D

7. As pen or marker caddy. If you are an art enthusiast or have accumulated quite a number of pens, pencils and markers, then this boxful of empty tissue tubes on a shoebox is an excellent organizer.
